Exodus pt 2: The golden calf and the Father's heart.

This week Bek Stevens brings the word from the Book of Exodus 32, exploring the story of the golden calf and what it reveals about our hearts and in return the Father’s heart. Israel’s failure reminds us of the truth in Book of Jeremiah 17:9 — the heart is deceitful above all things. Idolatry isn’t only worshipping a false god; it’s also worshipping the true God falsely, shaping Him into something that suits us. Yet even in humanity’s wandering, we see the mercy and faithfulness of God. A powerful reminder that while our hearts can drift, the Father’s heart remains faithful to His people.
