Description

Newlife Church is a large, vibrant evangelical church with locations across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, committed to seeing more people, more like Jesus through discipleship, leadership development, church planting and healthy churches.

At the heart of our ministry is a deep conviction that the Kingdom of God is a place of belonging for everyone.

Crossroads is one of the most beautiful expressions of that vision.

Crossroads is a thriving ministry of Newlife Robina serving people living with disability, their families, carers and volunteers — a community marked by joy, dignity, friendship and spiritual belonging.

We are seeking a Crossroads Pastor to lead the spiritual life and pastoral culture of this community, helping ensure Crossroads remains a place where every participant is known, valued and invited to encounter the love of Christ.

This role will suit a pastor with a deep pastoral heart, emotional intelligence and a gift for building communities of belonging.

Working alongside Newlife Care and Newlife Church leadership, the Crossroads Pastor will shape the culture, lead volunteers, and nurture a Christ-centred environment where people flourish.

Key responsibilities include

•       Providing visible pastoral leadership within the Crossroads community

•       Building meaningful relationships with participants, carers, families and volunteers

•       Leading and developing volunteer team leaders and cultivating a healthy ministry culture

•       Creating spiritually safe environments where participants can encounter God

•       Overseeing program gatherings to ensure they are joyful, welcoming and well led

•       Preaching, prayer and spiritual encouragement within Crossroads gatherings

•       Championing the vision of Crossroads as a ministry of dignity, belonging and purpose

•       Working collaboratively with Newlife Church and Newlife Care leadership

The successful candidate will bring

•       A theological or ministry qualification (or equivalent ministry experience)

•       Demonstrated pastoral leadership and volunteer development capability

•       Experience working with people with disabilities or in inclusive ministry environments

•       Strong relational intelligence and pastoral instincts

•       The ability to build trust, cultivate community and empower volunteers

•       A deep commitment to the mission of Jesus and the vision of Newlife Church

This is a rare opportunity to lead a ministry that reflects the heart of Christ — where every person is welcomed, honoured and invited into community.

If you are passionate about building churches where everyone belongs, we would love to hear from you.
