Children's Ministry Coordinator

Contract
Part Time
Location

Description

Part-Time | 6-Month Fixed Term Contract | 11.4 hours per week | Graceville, Brisbane

‍

As our Graceville church plant grows, you’ll have the opportunity to help establish the culture, rhythms and ministry foundations that will shape how we disciple children and young people for years to come. You’ll work alongside our Lead Pastor and team of volunteers to create a place where children are loved and discipled.

‍

This role could be for you if…

You’re someone who sees children’s ministry as much more than keeping kids occupied on a Sunday.

You love seeing children discover who Jesus is. You enjoy building relationships with families. You’re energised by bringing people together and developing volunteers.

‍

We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience in children’s or youth ministry, ideally within a church or other faith-based organisation.

Has strong relational, communication and leadership skills.

Can inspire and equip volunteers rather than trying to do everything themselves.

Is creative, proactive and willing to take initiative.

Has a genuine passion for discipling children and seeing families flourish in faith.

Has a servant-hearted approach and a desire to work as part of a wider ministry team.

Has relevant ministry, theological or chaplaincy qualifications — highly regarded but not essential.

‍

As the church grows, there is potential for the scope and shape of this ministry to grow with it. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just want to fill a position, but who wants to help build a ministry that future generations can be part of.

There will be challenges, plenty to learn and lots to build — but also the unique privilege of helping lay foundations for a new church community in Graceville.

If you’re excited by the thought of helping create a children’s and youth ministry from the ground up, building a great team around you, and seeing it grow alongside a new church plant, we’d love to hear from you.

‍

Come and help us create a church where children and families can belong, grow and encounter Jesus.
