What is hope?
Is it a final refuge, a crutch for the faithful, a soothing word in times of despair, or simply a mindset for those in need? Christmas tells us a story to a world steeped in sin and error, characterised by weariness and unsatisfied, unfulfilled hopes.
But in a moment, in a thrill of hope, the Christmas message proclaims that the weary world can rejoice, for a new and glorious dawn has arrived with the advent of Jesus Christ. Hope, no longer a distant yearning or desire, but a reality wrapped in flesh and it’s better than we could have ever hoped for.
